Where to find info about installed sample libraries?

Hello there,

I’ve just installed Waves V15 and V14 plugins on my new M4 Pro and was wondering where I can see which sample libraries I’ve installed?

I specifically in my case talk about Cosmos sample finder and CR8 creative sampler.

I am not sure whether I installed the 4 GB of samples coming with it.

I think I just selected all the plugins without engaging the sample button underneath it.

When I select it now for installation, the samples are not automatically activated.

Were they activated during the initial first selection and now that’s already installed aren’t being selected automatically anymore?

I’m just wondering whether they were automatically selected / added when I installed all my plugins for the first time when I selected the plugins or whether I had to activate them manually?

Currently, I can’t test / know that anymore because everything is already installed and when selecting it now, samples aren’t marked automatically.

I mean, I’d generally love to know whether you could see somewhere which sample libraries you’ve installed? I can’t find it somehow.

Hey @atticmike,

If you haven’t changed the location of the Samples installation, it should be in: /Applications/Waves/Data/Instrument Data/Waves Sample Libraries by default.

This location can be changed from Waves Central’s right hand side, where it says Install Sample Libraires to :

You can reinstall the CR8 again to install the Sample Libraries again if you are unsure.

But isn’t it showing somewhere on the GUI what samples I’ve installed? What’s the point of Waves central then besides being a glorified setup tool?

Will selecting CR8 automatically activate the samples or would I still have to click on it?
