Waves Sample Rate Question 98khz->48khz

Hi,

excuse this stupid question but i was wondering if the following scenario is possible?
Midas Pro 1 → DN9650 with KT Madi → Soundgrid MGB 96khz!! → Midas M32 dn32 48khz!!

Is this sample rate conversion within sg possible?

i’m asking because the pro1 uses waves plugins as well in 96khz and i was wondering if i still could send the channels to a m32 dn32 monitor desk which of course runs at 48khz.
i’m just too lazy to analog split the signals because that would mean another stagebox for the m32 and is just too expensive for this type of setup, that’s why i came up with a wsg solution in my head since i own that stuff already and was wondering if that actually works as i could find nothing regarding src in wsg.

thanks

I don’t think this will work. The DN9650 can do SRC, but not the MGB. And the MGB will only sync with the DN32-WSG when they run the same samplerate.

that’s what i thought.
i was hoping the dn32 would have a src which is able clock down.

well then it’s going to be analogue split

Unfortunately the DN32-WSG has no SRC option.

As far as I know the only SG cards for desks which can do SRC are the Allen&Heath cards (M-SQ-WAVES3, M-DL-WAVES3).
