Waves licenses to a USB flash drive

I typically work on a desktop, but now I’ll be traveling and using a laptop. If I transfer my Waves licenses to a USB flash drive to use Waves plugins on the laptop, must the USB flash drive remain plugged into the laptop all the time?

yes, the licenses must be present the whole time your app or plugin is running.

Yes, you must have a USB device connected to the computer if the licenses are on it for the plugins to work.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I understand that. What I want to clarify is if I need to keep the USB flash drive plugged in ALL THE TIME, or if I can just connect it to activate the licenses on the laptop and then remove it.Thanks again!

The USB flash drive must be connected whenever you use your plugins.

If the USB is not connected to the computer your Waves plugins won’t work.

You can always choose to have the licenses on the computer instead of the USB flash drive if keeping the USB connected is not convenient.
