Im using primary source expander to remove some resonance sound on a piano roughly under 50db and no matter how much I try Adjusting the threshold and range I cant seem to get the gain reduction to be smooth when there are quite sections. Could the ducking feature be of any help?

My mistake Im using the same virtual instrument as someone who im trying to replicate the sound of and the gate/expander they use is fabfilter since it has a ratio control
