Abbey Road Saturator Noise

Hey guys,

Absolutely love the sound of the new plugin but having trouble with the noise floor. Obviously there’s normally an analog button or noise level option to remove hiss but I can’t find it all with this? Could someone point me in the right direction please.

I’m currently using noise gates but then when certain instruments come in, I’m finding this hiss still overwhelming.

Hi @MattPalfreman,

Abbey Road Saturator indeed has analog or noise level control, but that is due to the fact that it does not introduce any noise. It does generate harmonics in response to signals that pass through it to create the saturation effect.
Are you sure there is no signal going in to the plugin?
Can you perhaps place your noise gate before the saturator? perhaps it is generating harmonics for a very low frequency making it audible?

What host application are you using? on Mac or PC?

Sorry, yeah I realised that the hiss is on the actual recording itself. All sorted, cheers!
