Legacy System Extension soon incompatible on MacOS

Hoping there will be arm versions of waves/plugins/extension as Apple will deprecate Rosetta on my macmini circa 2023 in 2028?

Hi @strobelightaudio

We absolutely understand your concern about ARM64 compatibility for your Waves products as Apple phases out Rosetta. Our support team can provide the most current information about ARM support for your specific plugins and extensions, and will be reaching out via email soon to further assist.

I’ve been spotting the odd message myself, though it’s not common and it’s not just Waves software.

The Native Instruments installer seems to trigger it for example. I’ve seen them acknowledge it though. They say that alot of their library installers go back a long time so many of these files would need to be updated, not just Native Access itself. They say it will take a quite a big effort to get it all sorted, which I can understand.

At least they are aware of the issue and will have over a year to get it sorted. The same is true for Waves. At least, in my experience, I’ve never known Waves to ignore these type of issues until it’s too late. They tend to much more progressive than that.
