Hi there, I am fairly new to waves used in live but I have an A&H SQ5 with a stage box connected via S-link and I have a Dante Card in the SQ5.
I have a high spec laptop with DVS that I usually use to connect in for multi track recording.
I would like to add Superrack performer intro the solution to be able to use plugins but was wondering how and even if it is going to work. I have read that latency may be an issue.
One of our Live Sound team representatives will reach out via email to further advise and assist. He will also be able to provide more accurate information regarding latency basing on your exact setup and use case.
Really wish some sort of outcome was posted to this thread as I have a similar use case. Yamaha QL5 and looking to connect to a newer MacBook Pro so we can use Waves plug-ins via Superrack Performer. Two key focuses: Vocal Pitch Correction and Broadcast Improvements
I have verified this, and our Live Sound team has sent you an email on the 6th.
It most probably got to your junkmail/spam folder. Please try and see if you can find it, regardless a second email will be sent out .
Did you ever get an answer? don’t use DVS as the latency is generally too high. I’ve had great success using the built in USB port on the SQ, just plug your laptop into the usb port, if it is windows you have to install the sq usb driver, then open superrack and pick the SQ as your audio interface
I sort of figured it out but it was not really top priority. However I shall try the USB port. I had heard that the latency on the USB was not that good but if you have it working then I shall give it a go. I need to do some work because the USB port is being used for audio mix for OBS at the moment. What limitations have you found? Max plugins v max channels?
I will need support on setting up low latency waves plugins set up. My mixer is SQ6. I intend to use Waves card or Dante card.Do I need a thunderbolt adapter? Do i need SuperRack performer? Can I avoid buying a server and still achieve low latency?
