Is it possible to use Superrack performer with a waves server or do I necessarily need to buy the Superrack Soundgrid app ?
Hey @cfgsound,
You will require SuperRack Soundgrid to use a server in your setup.
No, if you mean Waves Server One and Super Rack, this will not allow Server One by Wavves to run clocking of VST3 3rd party plugs. There is a new Server series that does this, 3rd party plugins w/o clocking issues. The SuperRack plugin will allow Waves & 3rd party plugins clocking at once, although its still not clear to me inside a DAW or outside (I’d expect in a DAW, which can be done already w/o Server One etc). I hope this helps & is correct as my research.
Just to clear up the confusion - SuperRack Performer is 100% native, so it won’t actually see your Waves Server if you have one connected. It’s designed to run entirely on your Mac or PC’s CPU using a standard ASIO or Core Audio driver. If you definitely want to offload the processing to a dedicated server for that near-zero latency, you’ll have to stick with SuperRack SoundGrid.
