I’ll second most of this. The slow responsiveness of the FIT is one of the major points I went back to a hardware desk. And if you want to see the channel meters together with a FIT you use the mixer view - which occupies 2/3 of the screen showing a copy of the faders again. Honestly it makes much more sense when using a second screen instead of a FIT. The final concept of FIT+LV1 has not really arrived yet IMHO.
need compatibility with slate trigger 2 or make a similar plugin
Please let us add a specific channel send crosspoint as a fader in the custom layers.
Today to have proper fx throw you need to waste auxes and do complex aux to aux routing, simply adding a specific send crosspoint would fix this easily. That’s a low developing cost feature with big impact.
Currently you can’t set up a specific channel send to be a custom fader but you can do delay throws without burning an aux.
In the channel view of the FX channel, you can switch the mix bus from Trim to Fader. Just make sure the Trim fader is up before switching the mode or you won’t hear anything when you do your throw.
Can I ask for more granularity in the Driver Network Buffer for your DAW PC in Rack I/O Devices.
At the moment we have these options:
104 / 2.2 ms
288 / 6.0 ms
512 / 10.7 ms
1024 / 21.3 ms
I often find myself requiring a value between 104 and 288 samples. 104 is sometimes just too little with the occasional drop, while 288 samples introduces too much latency.
Can we please get a value around 144 samples, or 3.0 ms, or somewhere between 3 and 4ms.
Thanks
ability to send any aux to any aux. we’re big boys, we can avoid feedback loops… ![]()
You can feed forward aux to aux, but for what ever reason u can’t do that with groups wich baffles me. Doesn’t make any sense
AND dont forget! Cross fades when switching scenes please! Very ol long requested feature… Midimapping can help with this, but only partially… Thanks!
(1) MIDI MAPPING for automation in live scenes
(2) AND the ability to utilize a single midi controller assigned to multiple compressor thresholds (edit) OR any other parameter welcome to mixing in the future. Let Waves be the first one.
It would be like giving the LV1 operator a multitude of additional arms and hands like a soundman OCTOPUS! YEEEEEEHAWL!
(3) Still looking for that smooth transitional cross fade capability from one scene to the next… Right now when I switch scene’s, the transition can be a slap in the face for the entire crowd, and everybody looks back at me like im an idiot! LOL I had a couple of times where an instrument came screeming through the PA for about a second or two. Not kewl dudes. Again, everybody looks right at me, not my idea of looking like a hotshot.
Cloned LV1 Host Sessions.
I’m not sure how to describe it other than to compare it to a grandMA lighting desk on PC.
The ability to have two hosts on a network as a cloned session to have a seamless transition in the event of a host failure or freezing.
A plugin for triggering samples to augment drums. This would be a total game changer.
Please make key detector available to the lv1 system to work with waves autotune and harmony, and adding a global feature to enable/disable the autotune plugin.
Thank you
This, but being able to bind a user key to bypass multiple plugins would be great. That way we can set up other effect inserts and control them globally too.
Please let us add a specific channel to aux send as a custom fader.
I don’t want to waste auxes or extra dsp to control my reverbs sends with faders.
Finally I found where to write it. I am using soundgrid as main system in my church and I have made a desk with two fit controllers and two screens and one 16button midi controller. The only thing I miss is actual led meaters for channels so I wouldn’t need to have controllers on the bottom and their exact copies on top screens. And also it will be absolutely amazing if I can get fit controller in one piece that would have 33 faders and 100mm led UV meaterings by every fader plus 16 more assignable buttons on the left or on the middle between two sections of 16 faders
I like to see someone with the same mindset. Really need better waves controller
Love every word you said
I just created windows application, that looks like 1inch taskbar with scribble strips and VU meters. It uses ASIO inputs to read the volume and I can customise the channels that I want to see so it replaces taskbar and works as uv meters for the channels and it can be aligned with fit controllers to be at exact spot.
Much Better scene and cue management with cross fades between scenes and cues.
Redundancy that is real time like Dante. Don’t understand why if you have two soundgrid servers (one running in redundancy) that it requires a 6 second dropout while changing over to the second one in the event that something happened to the first one.
