What kind of error am I getting and how can I fix it? (vst3 problem)

Error

I have many session files that have Waves vst3 plugins and now they don’t seem to be working. Please help me! :frowning:

You haven’t by any chance moved your plugins from their initial install location??

Yup, that was the problem! I changed the path to C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\WaveShells V12 as it was previously C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves… Now all is good

Thanks!

Hi @a.timbadia,

Glad to hear the issue was solved.

I do want to emphasize that the Wave’s main folder (ie C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves) or any of its subfolders, should not be scanned directly.

Instead, we place the proper WaveShell file in all of the plug-ins default folders (ie VST, VST3, AAX, etc).

As we Officially Support REAPER with our VST3 plug-ins, please refer to this link and follow the steps to properly scan REAPER for VST3 plug-ins.

In case there are any further issues, I suggest contacting our Tech Support team to advise according to your setup.
