Waves Central says Reaper is open but it is not

Hello. Just purchased Reel ADT. Trying to install with Waves Central (which updated to 15.0.3 upon opening). License activated without difficulty but it will not install. It says “Please close Reaper” BUT Reaper is not open! I rebooted several times (including turned everything off overnight). Reaper is not on the task manager as an app or background process. Ironically, I installed OneKnob Driver last week (before the current Waves Central update) without difficulty. PC, Win 10.
Any ideas???

hey @spurcell,

Welcome to the Waves Forum.

Even though Reaper seems to be closed, there might be another application in the background using its drivers causing Waves Central to alert you to close your DAW.

You can try and look for another application under the task manager processes tab which might be using the mentioned driver and choose to end its process (right-click on the process) which should solve the issue.

Alternatively, you can Contact Technical Support to speed up the troubleshooting process.

Thank you for your response. I actually followed the plan from Tech Support to repair the C++Redistributables. Waves Central worked after that and did install Reel ADT. But unfortunately, Reaper is not recognizing it. All the files are in the right folders but Reaper isn’t seeing it. Ironically OneKnob Driver is a V15 plugin I installed last week and is in the same folder as Reel ADT and Reaper DOES recognize that. I’m waiting to hear back from Tech Support but just wanted to update you. Thanks!
