I installed v11 today and it is great but i noticed when inserting plugins the liat shows all of the waves plugins, not just the ones i own and are installed. how can I hide plugins that are not on my system?

This should not happen - StudioRack will only display the plugins you own or are currently demoing.
If you see a list of plugin you do not own or have installed, there must be a local issue that can be solved - please contact out support team to look in to this.
