New Here — Looking for a Starting Point with Waves

Hey everyone,

Just joined the Waves forum and wanted to say a quick hello. I’ve been working more seriously with audio lately and finally decided to explore Waves plugins and tools in depth. After browsing a few threads, I can already tell this is a solid community with tons of experience and insight.

That said, I’m still figuring out where to start — there’s so much going on across mixing, mastering, live setups, and SoundGrid tech. If anyone has suggestions for beginner-friendly threads, plugin workflows, or even tips for navigating the forum itself, I’d really appreciate it.

Looking forward to learning from you all and hopefully contributing as I get more confident with the tools.

Thanks in advance!

Waves do keep a wealth of video tutorials on their site. Some of them can be quite old, but the information is still on point.

You can also follow them on YouTube.

If you’re looking any trying before buying, check out their Creative Access subscription. I believe the first month is feee, and the plugins will default to demo mode after that. Even then, you could always sign up for a month or two and cancel it at any time. This is probably the best way to check out their stuff without making any large commitments.

From there you can always figure out if you’d rather buy their plugins or continue with Creative Access.

They’re always got stuff on sale, so its always bet to try and grab what you want when its on discount.

Hey @leina.alex,

Welcome to the Waves Forum.

Adding to Simon’s great suggestions is our Waves Free Plugin pack, which should also help you with your exploration and hopefully can serve you in your production.
