II didn’t have issues with how Waves does updates, and I actually like not having my plugins to be changed, as most of these changes break sessions.
One thing I do not however like is when a plugin connects to the internet. I also don’t like to see more and more privacy notices for audio plugins.
To me, Waves is turning into a data collection service, instead of just making better plugins, it’s making plugins that are required to function with the internet.
Waves COSMOS has a bunch of issues without the Waves LocalServer.
Waves Studio Verse/ Instruments won’t function without the Waves PluginServer on AAX (Pro Tools).
I’ve had enough with plugins asking to connect to the internet. I’m removing / replacing all Waves plugins and being done with it. It’s annoying, and the plugins run like ■■■■.
I want plugins that run natively, without the increasing amounts of EdgeWebView 2 and/ or connecting to some server.
the amount of issues I had with sessions crashing just to find out it was the Studio Verse calling a server that couldn’t get through so it would crash the entire project.
No reason for these gimmicks of calling things that are AI when’t they’re clearly just scripts running algorithms. So you all use the connections online so you can get data on the usage so you can make more slop.
I’ve had enough.
