Ideal plugin chain for VoiceCentric?

Hi!

I’m experimenting with VoiceCentric, and I’m wondering if anybody has discovered an ideal plugin chain to get the most out of it.

Since it contains EQ’ing and compressing “behind the scenes”, does that mean you shouldn’t have other EQs or compressors in your chain for instance?

If so, do you simply recommend a noise suppressor like NS1 and then VoiceCentric and nothing else?

Excited to hear what you might suggest!

All the best,
Mikkel

Hi @mikkel,

Since VoiceCentric includes some spatial effects and when using mono-to-stereo component, converts mono to stereo, I would recommend processing any additional EQ and compression of your Vocal signal before the VoiceCentric Plugin.

It is a matter of necessity. Indeed this plugin eq’s and compresses, but in a very specific way that Greg Wells designed. it might not match your source material and definitely will not treat any specific tonal or dynamic issues you may be facing - for that you will want to use a good parametric EQ or compressor.

Hope this helps, and welcome to our forum!
Thanks
