I have limited hard drive space on my Mac and I would like to delete all the VST and VST3 versions of Waves, as I only use AU.
Occasionally in the past I have come across AU plugins that require VST versions to be installed (resource sharing, presumably). Is this the case for any Waves plugins, or can I safely delete the VST/VST3 versions?
Just chatted to Waves support and they say yes, Waveshells can be deleted if not being used - leaving this up in case it’s useful to anyone else.

@ric.levy,
Glad that worked out, do note that those Waveshells files will hardly take up any space on your computer.
There were about 10 of them at 40-45 megs each in the VST folder so not far off half a GB for me.

I’ve been doing it myself for a while now and haven’t seem to run into an issue.
Although, as Adi says, they don’t take up a lot of storage space. It’s because everything leverages one common core source code and these shells just really connect that code to a format that DAWs can read.
