Cr8 should automatically take root note from Cosmos

I may be stupid, but I cant find this very easy & obvious feature

I know Cr8 has an auto-detect root note feature (which i cant seem to lock and have to click everytime i load a new sample).

But what if ive corrected some key-detection of one shots in Cosmos?

Why cant that just be sent to Cr8 automatically?

Please tell me im stupid and missing something obvious

Are you using the version of Cosmos built into CR8?? It would seem odd they’d miss adding that kind of feature. Perhaps they didn’t bother with it as you have the auto set buttons right next to the Root and BPM Labels?!?

I hear your suggesting that they just didnt bother. It seems like a small thing, but for two reasons i find this a frustrating miss.
Having to click a small Root button every time a change samples sucks. Compared toLCloud where i can have my right hand on the down arrow and left on my midi keyboard, its a big slowdown.
I even mapped modwheel to the Root auto set, so i could just touch that after every sample swap,

But on another level, sometimes the auto gets it wrong - not often - and im sure it uses a bit of cpu resources every time. So why not simply have the option to use the key from the browser? Auto root can still be its own thing.

I think it should be an option to lock either of these, but obviously, exclusively.
If you have auto-root locked, it turns off taking the key from the browser. And vice versa.

Should be such a tiny feature to implement for a future update

Yes, using the built in browser.
Agree, it seems like a surprising omission. Ive searched the manual and couldnt find anything.

For example, another well known sample manager can act like a sampler for one shots.
If i select a one shot, ‘lock’ the pitch to C (down the bottom of the window), i can just down arrow through my one shots and depending on their ‘Key” attribute, loopcloud will transpose the sample.

Actually, since you put it that way, yeah it would get tedious. It’s possible they just over looked people drilling their way through multiple samples, have it automatically adjust in real-time to find the best one that suites their purposes.

I just think its a simple oversight, but yeah, I agree that life would be much better if the sample browser automatically adjusted to the project, with the ability to still allow on the spot changes.
