Cosmos 16.7.189 keeps updating

Hi,

Cosmos keeps on updating my sample data, though nothing has changed since the last scan.

I already have deleted and added my local folders, have deinstalled and reinstalled Waves 16. The problem stays the same, analyzing samples 99% (663562). On top it says 563,550 results, down on the left side it says 663562/663562 samples.

After waiting for five minutes a red warning appears “Changes were detected in your folders - Update now”. Well i know this issues from other versions, but after a rescan all was fine. But now the program is running in circles. Now matter if I update, close the program, restart the PC.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and knows how to repair this behaviour? Using Waves like this doesn`t make much fun.

I discovered a slight issue with Comos on Mac that causes it to trigger this kind of behaviour. It might be true for windows too. Manually navigating through those files and folders on your computer causes MacOS to update its invisible .DStore files. That’s enough to cause Cosmos to think that changes have occurred and it needs updating.

The workaround is to simply not go manually searching through your sample folders. At least for now. Waves knows about this issue and hopefully they will release a version sometime soon that makes it ignore invisible files and folders. Hopefully.
