Can't install plugins from Waves Central

Welcome to the Waves Forum.

By default, the sample libraries will be downloaded along with your products as the SD version unless this was changed and you have unchecked both SD & HD which in this case no Sample Libraries will be downloaded.

We recommend downloading the sample libraries manually from the website as they are pretty big in size and can extend the installation process or cause issues with unstable or slow networks.

Originally, I just tried to download and install with defaults. But It kept erroring out saying it couldn’t install samples. Then I could install without samples, and eventually I just downloaded them manually. Im good now, THANK YOU

Same Trouble Here With iMac Pro and Catalina … Trying to upgrade to Big Sur (what I already planned to do a few days before the issue) and we’ll see if the problem solves … if not I will try to download previous versions, log off from the internet and try the manual install. I’ll be back !

Okay Updated to Big Sur from Catalina didn’t help a lot… Install crashed about 90% and as everybody advised I’ve finally downloaded and manually installed (placed) the Instrument Samples. Refreshed and relaunched installation… still crash about 90% BUT :
I Then went back and Refreshed Waves Central … it says the products are not installed… OK ! Anyway Launched Protools and EVERYTHING is there and running fine at the latest version (just updated my coverage also) Well next step : let’s see for the SECOND LICENCE. See yall tomorrow !!! I’ll Be installing on a Macbook Pro M1 / Big Sur

Because if it’s the latter, plugins are a lot smaller in nature than the sample collections they can download quite quickly and update the progress bar in a more responsive way. Sample collections, on the other hand, take a lot longer to download and install. This tends to give you illusion that Central has frozen, when it actually hasn’t. It just takes a while for that progress bar to update.

I’ve made comments support, suggestions they should try and fix the way the progress bar updates for this reason. So many people get caught off guard by this issue.
