I’m currently considering the option of upgrading the existing Windows operating system (pre-installed Windows 10) on the Waves Axis scope to Windows 11. Can Waves Central Ultimate v14 work? Could you please advise if this upgrade is feasible? Thank you for your assistance.
Welcome to the Waves Forum.
Axis computers are running Windows 10 LTSC. This is the version Windows is licensed for. We do not recommend altering, changing, updating the OS on Axis computers, this is to ensure stability and maintain the system as it was primarily installed.
Waves will not be able to support the unit with an altered OS.
Oh great, Thank you for this.
Is this still relevant? I wanted to check back on this. Short of moving to Windows 11, is there at least a supported path to upgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 (1809) to LTSC 2021? The current 1809 build feels quite outdated at this point.
Also, do newer Axis Scope units ship with LTSC 2021, and is there an official reimaging option for existing units? That would be the ideal path, since it wouldn’t require altering the OS ourselves and voiding support.
Hey @yuriysound,
Welcome to the Waves Forum.
Updating the OS is still not supported on Axis computers; Axis computers are running Windows 10 LTSC. This is the version Windows is licensed for.
