Axis Scope Computer

Good day WavesForum,

I need your support and advice regarding an issue with my Axis Scope Computer. I shut down the Axis Scope, but when I tried to power it back on, it did not start. However, the LAN port is blinking as though the system is on. I suspect there may be a problem with the power supply, but I’m not certain if that’s the actual issue. I have used different power sources but the issue is yet to be resolved

The system is out of warranty, and unfortunately, there is no Waves technician available in my location (Lagos, Nigeria). I also cannot afford to send the Axis Scope back to Waves for repairs. I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance you can provide.

Thank you, and I look forward to your input.

Best regards,
Ibukun

Maybe it is an option to ask someone in your reach who is familiar with Windows-PCs, especially for hardware. Here from a distance it sounds a bit like the PSU is still working, but the machine simply does not start up, or maybe starts up with a black screen output.

Do you hear/see the fans working ?
Did you try the other graphics port (HDMI or DP) ?

@dagroch Good morning and thank you for the suggestion,

All the suggested solutions were tried without success. When the Axis Scope was connected to power, there was no sound or movement from the fan, and the light on the Waves logo (in front of the Axis Scope) did not turn on, indicating that the system was not receiving enough power. I plugged it into different power outlets and connected the computer to various screens using HDMI and DisplayPort cables. Still, the problem persisted before I reached out to the Wavesforum.

I am a computer technician, but I hesitated to work on the Axis Scope because it is customized and differs from regular desktop systems. However, I decided to take the risk last night and opened the Axis Scope. I discovered that the issue was likely caused by high voltage or a bad power supply. I detached the power cable from the board, removed the RAMs and unplugged the CMOS battery. After some time, I reconnected everything, and the system powered on and booted normally.

Thank you for your support and suggestions.

Best regards,
Ibukun
