The compressors in Scheps Omni Channel are great, and I appreciate the new “Soft” mode added in V2.
Can we get a TOGGLE for autogain, though?
In addition to supporting variations in personal preference – autogain makes the compressor’s sidechain input is almost useless.
(Yes, I know Scheps’s recommended trick of using a full-range DS2 for ducking, but the DS2s don’t have attack/release controls which are critical for sidechained compression!)

I haven’t gotten around to using it yet, but agree that auto-gain should be an option. As you have stated there are reasons or situations where having it constantly on is less than ideal.

It’s been a while, but I’m still desperate for this every time I use SOC (which is daily.) I have something to add, though:
Typically a change to UI is expensive… But the way Waves solved ‘wet’ changing on reverbs between presets was in the hamburger menu. “Lock Wet on Preset Load” was a wonderful addition, I use it all the time (and now use presets more often as a result.)
So while a button/switch on the compressor UI would be ideal, putting the “autogain on/off” setting in the hamburger menu would be welcomed as a next-best solution.
That would be a code-only change, which may make it more viable as a feature request.

That would be a good idea.
There’s probably a few other plugins that might be able to use that option too. You could put Oversampling there too, Lindell does this and more with their little plugin menu.
