I have a 2025 Mac Studio Pro M3 running Sequoia 15.7 and running Logic Pro 11. My Wave’s plugins stopped working for some reason. I have completely cleaned my hard drive of waves files, preferences, and caches, and downloaded Waves Central 16 and attempted to open it. It would not open- just the blue dot going back and forth. I used ChatGPT for solutions and it ran me through several options including downloading a version of Waves Central 14 legacy to try. Nothing works, I can not get Waves Central 16 or 14 to run on my brand new Mac!! So frustrating! Anybody got a solution?
Hey @Surfgreen,
Welcome ot the Waves Forum.
Please Contact Technical Support and allow them to solve this for you. You can also request a remote session if anything is not clear over email.
Let us know how it went
Did you reinstall your plugins fresh, or migrate them?? How about your licenses, did you manually transfer them back to the cloud and reinstall them on your new Mac, or are they on a USB drive??
I have my licenses on my Mac Studio and have been using Waves Plugins on the machine since last April. I use Logic Pro and for whatever reason my Waves plugins recently stopped working. In fact, they completely crashed any Logic Pro Session I was using the plugins on.
I decided to upgrade plugins to V16. I deleted all Wave program files, deleted all Wave files, preferences and caches.
Now for what ever reason, I can’t install Waves Central on my Studio Pro. It won’t get past the blue dot scrolling back and forth at the bottom of the screen as it tries to install.

Thank you Bar and Waves for the excellent customer service!
Bar Tzidon solved my problem within a few minutes. I had even tried ChatGPT and it guided me through half a dozen fixes it suggested but nothing worked.
According to Bar- the solution for my 2025 Mac Studio Pro M3 chip was:
“I toggled the Waves INC. extension on/off in Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.”
Thanks again Waves!
Yeah ChatGPT doesn’t know everything, especially if it’s uncommon, specialised information. Fortunately there are Waves techs that can help scratch those itches that ChatGPT can’t quite reach.
Good to hear you’re up and running.
