I am recording an original that has 2 key modulations. The song starts in GMaj, moves to Am, then to FMaj. My plan is to make a vocal track for each key section and set the appropriate scale for each in Auto Tune RT.
Does anyone have experience with this tasks, or a better idea?
I haven’t tried it but you can always try automating the key modulations instead.
Another thing to consider is that GMaj, Amin & FMaj have a lot of notes in common. Conceivably the chord tones can be derived from the CMaj or A Natural Minor (A Aeolian) scale. You can try using that scale and add or automate any missing notes.
