V17 update made all waves plaug in vanish

EDIT: For now I uninstalled and went back to V16 so I can still work on my projects.

“WaveShell1-VST3 16.7_x64.vst3” doesn’t load. Prior to updating to V17 everything worked fine. Ive tried to repair, the permissions, the cache clear, the uninstall and reinstall. Ive tried removing the V17 shell and leaving the V16 shell (and vice versa). if there is no fix how do I roll back to all V16 plugs?

Every so often we all tend to run into issues. It’s impossible for anything to work 100% perfectly 100% of the time.

In this particular instance deleting the DAW’s plugin cache, if you haven’t already tried that one as well as Wave Central’s cache can be extremely useful. Versions of the old code can tend to linger in these causing buggy behaviour.

It’s also worthwhile making sure your DAW and OS are compatible with the new version. Sometimes it takes a DAW or Waves themselves a few months to address any specific issues that they have with new plugin releases. Rare, obscure bugs in particular can be hard to find and usually takes the large number of people you get from a public release for someone to find them.

Don’t forget that there is also Support you can talk open up a discussion with if you can’t seem to find a solution…
