It would be great to have a network controller for Ipaf and be able to shoot sequences or make recordings directly on iPad from an LV1
Totally agree! Having a SoundGrid driver for iPad would be a game-changer. It would provide a portable, streamlined setup for live performances and recordings. Imagine controlling your LV1 mix and capturing high-quality audio directly on an iPad without needing a laptop.
This is a huge first to market opportunity for waves. Currently there is no Dante for iOS. If waves provided soundgrid for iOS, they would gain a lot of market share over Dante because a lot of people would switch to sound grid and LV1 setups where portability is key. There are thousands of churches using multitracks playback app for iOS, and it is cumbersome to get multichannel audio out of the iPad into a stage box especially if the iPad is not located near the stage box. Most people run it into an audio interface and then 4-10 XLR lines over to the stage box. Imagine replacing all that with a single Ethernet cable. It’s similar going from an analog console to a digital console. I don’t think either Audinate or Waves have recognized the magnitude of the business case for this yet.
Hi there, jus some sharing . I found that cubasis do included some waves plug-ins(need spend some money to get it ) like q10. but I not sure will this able for submix purpose with some iPad compatible audio io interface/controller like ik multimedia irig pro duo I/O. Of course the latency might be main concern if it is more than 10 ms and I think there is no point we look for it .
My intention is v simple , if we able to using 10 peq points for house eq of the venue and it will make our life more easy. At least we dun need to setup many peripherals for it . Anywhere I might be wrong but come to the innovative of technology it shd be able to hv something for us plug and play . I willing to pay up some extra money if some advance options are offer for this type of robust setup.
Also usb c port for I/o latency shd be bring better io latency for it .
Regards,
