RBass v16 settings reset when playing from the beginning in Studio Pro 8

Environment:

• macOS Tahoe 26.3

• Fender Studio Pro 8.0.1.110379

• RBass(VST3) v16

Issue: When I play a project from the beginning in Studio Pro 8, the RBass settings get reset. Specifically, the profile switches to “A:Bass GTR Rock” every time I play from the start.

I previously had RBass v14, which had compatibility issues with macOS Tahoe 26.3, so I purchased a license update and upgraded to v16. However, the reset issue persists.

What I’ve tried:

• Upgraded from RBass v14 to v16

• Ran “Fix permissions and ownership” from Waves Central Settings

• Ran “Repair” from Waves Central

None of these resolved the issue.

Additional info: This problem only occurs in one specific project. Other projects created in Studio Pro 8 do not have this issue.It sometimes remains stable for a while, but the settings reset when I hit “Play” after reopening the project.

Any automation or MIDI going into the track? I don’t use any of that for preset changes myself (not even sure if it’s possible), but I could imagine it being added as a feature from v14->v16.

Thank you for your comment! That was exactly it — there were unintended MIDI control messages that had been set without me realizing. Once I removed them, the issue was fixed. Thank you so much!
