Presets menu is not usable

on either of the 2 waves audio plugin i have, the presets menu disappears into a very small window on the plugin interface, making the menu unusable. is there a fix for this?.

i am using the latest versions if abbey road ADT and silk vocal on abelton 12, on a windows 11 pc

Welcome to the forum.

This kind of presets menu glitch might be related to Windows display scaling. You can try setting your monitor scaling to 100 percent in Windows display settings and check whether the menu renders correctly after that. If it is still cut off, please contact our support team, they will gladly help out.

I am running into the same annoying issue on latest MacOS Tahoe, using latest Ableton 12 Suite (Stable AND Beta) on a m4 pro MBP.

  • Problem can be reproduced with every plugin of V17 Platinum Bundle :frowning:
  • I can only use the prev/next arrows to navigate presets.
  • Presets menu never opens on load when plugins are at 100% display.
  • Presets menu open ONCE when UI is resized to 125% or above, but then never reopens.
  • Happens on VST and AU versions. Didn’t try AAX yet.

On MacOS Toahe, there is an ugly fix, which consists in disabling 'individual Spaces per screen" in Settings > Desktop & Dock > Mission Control.

  • this fixes the Waves presets menu issues, but comes at the cost of losing the distinct Spaces per screen feature and the displaying of the dock on every screen.
  • It also adds issues with apps as in this mode, MacOS somehow prevents app windws displayed on the main monitor to use the whole top screen. By not getting these 71 lines of vertical real estate of display (the size of the top menu bar andof that damn notch), multi-windowed apps seem to be denied the permission to request fullscreen.

So I would recommend the Waves engineers to explore the issue ASAP, and fix the broken relationship between the positioning of the presets menu popup and window position on multiple screens as more and more customers will be pushed to finally upgrade to Tahoe and it will become complex for them and for you.
