Plugins for live stream

Hello Community

Hope all is well, I need some pointers? I need to do a live stream with a talk and there will also be videos with music. I want to make the audio on the stream the best. I’m using vMix and want to add VST. I looking at the NS1 but I need some extra? What will you recommend I add? L4 multi master?

Your help will be very helpful.

I did a lot of streaming during covid.

To gain broadcast quality you need some more plugins:

  1. Waves WNS → cleans up unwanted noise
  2. MV2 → use the “broadcast wizard” preset, keeps your talk level consistent
  3. Dan Dougan → keeps your crosstalk consistent (so background noise won’t alter if 1 or 4 microphones are open), also helps you to keep focus on the person actually speaking
  4. Playback Rider → keep videos and music in the correct loudness range
  5. WLM Plus → monitor and limit to correct level/loudness of your stream

I’d also suggest steering away from anything that produces quite a high latency.

Remember these latencies stack. Whereas at 48kHz a latency of 48 samples would be 1 millisecond, 96 samples at 96kHz. You see the pattern??
