I LOVE mix hub view, that i can see all eq-s, comps in one view for all channels, Buuut i would love to use it with scheps omni! or any channel strip that waves have similarly how SSL360 controlls it. Soooo please for omni 3, mix hub view!!!
Totally agree. I was honestly very surprised to see them create Omni and the SSL EV2 without implementing such a useful feature. Very much a missed opportunity in my mind.
Great idea! A mixhub view would be fantastic for Scheps Omni Channel 3…
One reason is CLA Mixhub inexplicably has a max output reduction of -48dB. Why? Scheps Omni Channel has a full range fader that goes down to -144dB, so it’s capable of completely silencing the output.
While they’re at it, could we get the ability to turn off autogain on the compressor slot? That seems like a small-ish request. You could even put the autogain on/off option in the settings rather than updating the UI (like SSL did for SSL 4K G)
That would make the compressor more preferable to some people and WAY more useful for ducking. (Yes, I know about the Scheps trick of using a DS2 set to 20hz with a high shelf for ducking – great trick, but it doesn’t replace a compressor without autogain… You have no control over the attack/release, etc!)
And this one is a nitpick but it irks me… The new Waves 4K UI updates are beautiful – but with SOC you didn’t upres some of the knobs. Go to 200% and look at the THRESH knobs on the DS2, the GAIN knobs on the EQ, and the RATIO/ATTACK/RELEASE knobs on the compressor. Those are all pixelated.
The hub & autogain improvements are obviously way more important, but that pixelation does look sloppy!
I’m not a huge fan of autogain. I find that can be handy while initially getting your settings sorted, but then I have to deactivate it and level the signal myself. Otherwise the before and after processing won’t be as equally balanced. Which ultimately could lead me into making poor decisions because this over processed sound is louder than the unprocessed.
I will say though, the autogain on Magma Stressbox is still quite impressive regardless.
