Mercury & Studio Classic Bundle

Hey Team,

I own the Mercury & Studio Classic Bundle and the Abbey Road Collection. Rather than keeping two different bundles up to date, can these bundles be combined to create an MSC Plus addition? This would be perfect for my live rig and studio rig.

Hey Nate, I love the idea of this. I can’t speak for Waves but I suspect the reason this will never happen is because Abbey Road Collection products have different licensing requirements with regard to using the name “Abbey Road.”

This is (probably) why new Abbey Road products aren’t automatically added to the Abbey Road Collection the way they are with Mercury.

It does create customer confusion though, because every other Waves bundle gets new products added to it included as part of the Waves Update Plan but NOT Abbey Road Collection.

I believe the last Abbey Road plugin was RS124, and that was in 2020 if I’m not mistaken. Since then we’ve had Voltage Amps, the Magma series & now the AI/machine-learning tools. (Also Space Rider & the cool gems plugins that only subscribers get.) Maybe they’re done making exact recreations of old gear, since that has fallen out of fashion a bit, although they did do the new SSL EV2 (which is awesome.)

Anyhow, I’m just speculating!
