A live filter recover option on the X-FDBK would make it much more useful. For instance, I have a musician that playes multiple wind instruments through a single mic. He uses a lot of delay and is near a main speaker. As he changes instruments his feedback hits different frequencies. The cummulative activated filters block too much and becomes usesless unless I reset the filters each time he changes instruments.
I have been inserting an Allen & Heath CQ 20b mixer on his mic channel which has auto recover on its feedback filter. It works very well, but is an expensive use of an entire mixer. The DBX AFS2 has auto recover. That is also expensive, and a hardware solution.
