I’ve been using MOTU’s Performer/Digital Performer since 1989. I’ve been purchasing and using Waves plugins since the mid 90’s. I’ve been a mercury owner for a long time now, not long after it came into existence. So a long, long time supporter/advocate for Waves. I know DP isn’t as popular as it once was. But I’m still hoping Waves won’t forget us.
When Sync Vx came out recently and was added to my bundle, I was excited to use it in my production work. Unfortunately, I discovered that for some reason Waves doesn’t support VST3 in Digital Performer on Mac. VST3 is required for ARA in DP. I use Audio Units in DP and only use VST3 for ARA plugins (Melodyne, etc.). So honestly, I was stunned to find out that Waves doesn’t support VST3 for Digital Performer. Truly shocked. So, as a DP user I don’t have access to a tool I want to use. Please Waves, don’t forget those of us who have supported you since before a lot of your employees were born.
