Waves Harmony preset select via MIDI ... or ... key/scale select vi snapshot

Hi,

I am setting up Harmony in Ableton for live gigs, also hosting guitar effects, backings, loops etc.

I want to be able to select Harmony settings via MIDI … one setting for each song.

Is it possible to change presets via MIDI PC?

Or … is it possible to have the Snapshots within one preset change the key and scale as well as the harmony placements? I understand that snapshots can be selected via MIDI, so that would work for me.

I’m looking for a simple setup … with each song’s settings just having a couple of harmonies that work within the scale … like a 3rd above and a 4th below. Nothing fancy.

Any ideas? Most appreciated!

I remember somebody else asking this a while back. I was only able to put forward of what might work and how I’d go about doing it.

I figured that I could write these in as automation changes into Logic and use the Marker feature to manual jump from one setting to another. In actual fact, it probably is possible to do this in Logic’s Live Loops. So that would be another way to set up and navigate from setting to setting.

Of course, other DAWs would vary.
