Hello. I just purchased the Waves Doubler and I’m not sure about something, this is my first time using a doubler. When applying the doubler should I have the guitar dead centre in the mix or panned ? Should I use it as insert on the track or should I create an fx channel ?
Any of those would be a valid use of Doubler. The dry guitar doesn’t have to be dead center, you can pan the taps anywhere in the stereo field so you could potentially have the guitar heavy on the left and the delay taps to the center and right. You could even put a couple taps left of the left heavy guitar. Options are almost unlimited. If you use it on an aux, you will probably want to turn the direct tap off in the plugin.
