I was wondering the dev team could add a feature where you can export presets or made samples to wav and or midi so we could run it through other processes or vst instruments without using much cpu?
Are you referring to “freezing” tracks which many DAWs can now do.
In the case of Logic you can set the Freeze setting to Source in the inspector on the left and it will just render what the instrument is doing, leaving you the ability to still use the plugins, but free up any CPU the instrument is using. The Pre-Fader option does both the instrument and the effects, also freeing up CPU and memory.
It’s just a simple matter of “unfreezing” and everything is restored so you can make further edits. You do need to have the Freeze option enabled first, though. You can do this by right clicking on the Track Header and enabling it from the Track Header Components sub-menu towards the bottom. Thats how Logic does it anyway.
