Please add support for VST2 plugins to StudioVerse.
I can’t imagine it will happen. VST2 has been officially deprecated by Steinberg close to 10 years ago now. We’re in a period where DAWs and OSes will eventually not support it at all.
It really is a better move to be slowly replacing your VST2 with VST3 while you can.

The VST2 plugin format is not supported with Waves from V15, so plugin formats moving forward are VST3 and other supported formats only. If you are still on V14 or earlier and relying on VST2, we recommend moving your sessions to VST3 versions of the plugins going forward, since that is the format actively supported and developed.
There are many good VST2 plugins that will likely never be updated to VST3, and it’s a shame not to be able to use them in SV; if adding VST2 plugin support isn’t too difficult to implement, I see no reason why they shouldn’t do it.
It is a shame, but the writing has been on the wall for a very long time. So the onus is on the actual developers who didn’t stop to update their plugins to VST3 at any time over the last 10 years. They abandoned their users. It’s inconvenient, it’s unfortunate, it’s frustrating, but sadly, it’s the truth of the situation.
There isn’t even a VST2 architecture ported over to M-Class Macs. Come macOS 28, VST2 will not even run at all on that chipset. PC’s won’t be far away either.
It’s a very strong reason why I am very reluctant at supporting the small indies. I’ve been bitten a few times in the past, back in my early days. Now I usually wait and observe to see how they tackle situations like this. Those that are left standing after the 32-bit to 64-bit transition, or VST2 to VST3, even the Intel to non-Rosetta Native Mac transition. If they rise to those kind of occasions, then they’re more likely to earn my faith and my money.
