Vocal Rider Sidechain Button Missing

Hi,

I recently purchased Vocal Rider via waves. I am using Logic Pro X.
I don’t see any option to create a sidechain. I have bussed the instrument tracks but cannot sidechain them.
In the top black box, the dropdown options of manual, compare, sidechain and editor are not present as I see on others’ YouTube videos.
Any advice on where to access?

Houston, we have a problem! I just noticed Vocal Rider and Vocal Rider Live are both completely ignoring the sidechain input for me as well.

My routing is correct – I confirmed that it works in both SSLComp and Bass Rider as well… But for some reason Vocal Rider & Vocal Rider Live are ignoring the sidechain input as of Dec 7, 2025. (I’m updated to current version whatever that is.)

PS. This is in Windows 11 on Reaper if that means anything.

Actually, I’ve noticed it’s also missing for Bass Rider

If you are using Logic and encountered the same issue :slight_smile:

  1. Choose Logic Pro > Settings > Advanced.
  2. Select the Enable Complete Features checkbox.

Did you ever get this working, sidechain option show up in your Waves Vocal Rider plugin?

Did you try and Contact Technical Support? They should shorten the troubleshooting time.
