I LOVE the ui/ux consistency in Waves plugins. The ability to shift+click to select multiple controls and move them at once is great and I use it all the time.
The next evolutionary step is to add the opposite of that:
Imagine if you could shift+alt+click a second control and they would be inversely linked. So once selected, when you turn one up – the other goes down.
There’s all kinds of places where this could be useful, and if it was supported globally across all Waves plugins it would be a neat upgrade.
PS. There’s an important complexity to this which would need to be solved… When one control reaches its minimum value, should the other control continue to move? A per-plugin setting could be nice, but you may not want that level of complexity… If I had to choose ONE — “both continuing to move” would be preferred because you wouldn’t (usually) want movement to lock just because one control hit its minimum or maximum value.
PS #2. If what I’m asking for isn’t clear – I mean something like linking the controls in J37, so input goes up and volume goes down. Being able to do this by shift-alt-clicking a second control would allow neat moves like selecting two EQ knobs and moving them simultaneously opposite of each other.
