I would love to see some simple 2 channel SoundGrid input and output devices. My LV1 fly rig doesn’t have any physical I/O at FOH and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to pull out my laptop and connect via the SoundGrid driver to play house music or a show intro. It would be nice to just be able to plug in an iPod or other music player with a small, lightweight device similar to what exists in the Dante infrastructure.
I could see these devices also being useful in SuperRack to insert outboard devices into the plugin rack. Just use an input and output device and you’re done. Bonus points if these devices were capable of running from POE.
