Option to Disable Delay Compensation per Channel (eMotion LV1)

Hi Waves Team,

I am a user of the eMotion LV1 Classic with an expanded setup using an external server. I would like to request a feature that allows us to disable Delay Compensation at the channel level, rather than just per plugin.

The Use Case: Currently, the LV1 aligns all channels based on the plugin with the highest latency. When I use an external server for heavy processing FX (like H-Reverb), the Delay Compensation engine offsets my entire mix (including monitors) to match that latency of 1.6ms round trip.

The Solution: I would like a toggle to “Exclude Channel from Delay Compensation.”

Why this matters:

  • Latency Management: For FX channels, I don’t care if the return is a few milliseconds “out of sync” with the dry signal; it simply acts as a natural pre-delay.

  • Monitor Consistency: I want to keep my monitor mixes at the lowest possible latency without the FX processing time affecting the time alignment of the phase-critical channels (drums, vocals, etc.).

  • Resource Efficiency: This would allow us to use external servers for heavy FX without penalizing the overall system latency.

Even knowing that the channel would be out of alignment with the rest of the desk, this flexibility would be a game-changer for complex live setups.

Best regards, Miguel Lourenço
