Downloading waves for older OS

Hi folks, Waves newbie here, I’m trying to purchase the C6 multiband compressor. My mac is older, running High Sierra, 10.13.6.

Waves tech support sent me to download the older version of Waves Central, V12 that should operate on this OS. I can download, and transfer to the Applications folder just fine, but as soon as I try to run Waves Central, it immediately downloads an update to 15.3.3 which won’t run on this computer.

Any ideas? I’ve done this several times without success.

Welcome to the Waves Forum.

Since you will be installing from an offline installer, Waves Central is not required to be online.

You can disconnect your network connection on your computer momentarily when launching Waves Central and install your required offline version.

Once done you can re enable your network connection.

If you still require any assistance, do not hesitate to Contact the Technical Support representative who assisted you.

Hey, for the love of it all, this is a very frustrating thing. I disabled the internet, got Waves Central installed, reconnected the internet, then tried to log on to Waves Central, and was told I was not connected to the internet even though network settings tell me I am. So I exit Waves Central, double check internet settings (they were correct) then bring Waves Central back up, it immediately updates to a version I can’t use.

What on earth am I doing wrong?

Is there another way this can be done? I’m trying hard to make a purchase and seem to be stymied at every turn.

I really do apologize for the rant, but I’m trying to mix a record and it looks like one of your products would be perfect, if I could just buy and install it. GRRR

Why can’t I just buy it, install it, and run it, like I do with Massey plugs?

I am experiencing the exact same thing as ben with my mac High Sierra 10.13.6 when downloading V11 and then it automatically updates it to the current version which I can’t use.

Is it possible for a representative to help assist me too?
