I used to run ableton via rewire in to logic for sample and loop auditionng synced to my project but since rewire is disabled in v11 its no more. Tried various options. ADSR sample finder has the right features but is cluncky and slow and unusable… Come on waves!!!
Rewire is old tech, it was providing a solution to problem that OS systems have long since solved.
In this case the solution can be found in Audio Midi Setup it’s in the Midi Studio panel, something called the IAC setup. That does the same job as Rewire except that its system integrated. But that just addresses your Ableton Live sync.
As per your original point, I think you’re right. I’d also love to adjust the tempo and key for auditioning purposes.
