CR8 changes patches whenever I start playback

Hi all

so ive come up against a problem that ive not had before

Ive got a midi file that id like to apply a patch from CR8 on but every time I try to start playback it changes the patch.

has anybody come up against this problem before?

some help for a fix would be much appreciated

I’m using this in Ableton live 12.4

I’ve never had this happen, but it does make me wonder whether there is a program change(s) stored in the midi file. Thats especially likely if the midi file is General Midi (GM). Not many people use that any more as its quite limited and ancient, but its still out there.

I don’t even know if CR8 even responds to program changes, but try looking at the midi automation and see if there is program information stored there. I don’t use Abelton so unfortunately I can’t give you more specific directions.
