2 Suggestions for the Online Mastering Tool

Hello,

There are two features that would have been really useful for me (and I guess others) to have when using the online mastering service:

  1. Being able to preview the entire track, before committing and using a credit (in my experience after I downloaded the song I discovered that the mastering sounded too harsh in the first verse and the outro, and both weren’t presented to me in the process, just 30-seconds in the middle of the song).

  2. Before approving the mastering, being able to download a low resolution mp3 file of the song with the mastering applied to it, that way it can then be listened to on different devices, before committing, and using a mastering credit.

Many thanks!

You’re not the only one to point out the first issue. My gues is the reason they haven’t done it is so people can’t “capture” the master and not end up paying (using credit). But maybe I’m wrong.

The way they could address it is the same for your second point. As in, they could watermark, use noise bursts or dropouts, a combination of all three so people won’t be able to use the downloaded preview instead of paying.
