# Vocal Rider: Constant +2dB fader offset

When I align the pink Target line perfectly at the tip of the yellow input meter the Rider fader is not close to 0 dB. Instead, it continuously shows +2.1 dB.
Tested with EMO-Generator and my actual vocal track.
Why? Is this by design or it’s a bug?

Thanks for testing this with both the [EMO Generator](https://www.waves.com/plugins/emo-generator?utm_source=forum) and a real vocal track, that steady 2.1 dB reading does sound like more than normal calibration drift around target. I have passed this along to our technical support team, and they will follow up on this thread to dig into it further.

What happens when you reduce the Target so that it’s sitting closer to 0dB??
I’m thinking that because vocals are so dynamic the gain fader is always working, so getting it to sit around 0dB would be particularly hard. Especially if you have it set to the Fast setting.
