# V-Comp installed, Reaper does not list it

They did, inadvertently, the solution that re-enabled IDX got it to show up also enabled VComp for me, thanks:

In REAPER, go to **Options \> Preferences**.  
Click on **Re-Scan… \> Clear cache and re-scan VST paths for all plug-ins**.

Yeah I noticed a rescan can fix many of these kind of issues. FL too.

Yeah if you dont clear plug ins ceche and scan all of them again and takes a while, it only rescans the same ones for updates if you dont clear it first
