# Running Waves setup (SG-4000) in simplified mode

Hi,  
I was wondering if it’s possible to start our system in a simplified mode without starting the extreme server and the console - a standalone PC connected with SG-4000 through a switch.

Currently we have the following deviced connected to the switch: SG-4000, server, console and two laptops. We would like to run the system in a simpliefied mode using Sound Grid Studio on one of these laptops. In this case only two devices would be turned on: SG-4000 and the laptop. Is it possible?

It would be very helpful for some small events in our location.
