Presets are very useful and time saving.
But now Waves exists for a very long time and has offered a lot of useful presets, but only for [studio] musicians. I can not get that. There is not a single preset anywhere for field recording.
If I want to get rid of the noise of a plane passing by or traffic noise or wind noise, a preset would be very handy.
Also Eq and compressor presets for all kinds of birds and other nature sounds, for I like recording birds and other nature.
Why are you musician guys so selfish and pigheaded [no, just kiddin].
That is very hard to create a preset for, because it would vary from recording to recording. No two traffic noises are alike, no two planes sound alike.
Most denoising algorithms need to listen to the recording con a track by track basis before it can know what to eliminate. There are also many moments that would sound best if it were eliminated by hand in an offline app like RX.
Nature and bird recordings don’t like to be compressed alot otherwise it starts sounding unnatural. There are times, that in context with other elements that it may require a little enhancing, but again that would be difficult to judge without the context.
That would be why there isn’t alot of presets for this kind of thing.
In all these cases the minimum amount of processing you can get away with would be the way to go.
