# Cubase 10.5 won't pick up Waves GTR3

Hi all,

forgive me if there already is a thread, I have searched and I cannot see this issue such.

Just bought Waves GTR3, and have followed their instructions to the tee about how to install. [https://www.waves.com/support/how-to-find-your-plugins-in-cubase](https://www.waves.com/support/how-to-find-your-plugins-in-cubase)

Plugin manager won’t find them.  
I have tried mapping the C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V11,  
tried C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves  
tried C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V11  
tried C:\Program Files\Waves Central

I realise it is probably something that I am doing, but any suggestions what the path should be?

Hi Rohan,

All the locations you’ve mentioned should not be scanned! In fact, if you scan the main folder of Waves (C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves) or any sub-folder in it you will most likely end up having technical issues with the plugins.

Remove these locations from the scanning list and instead add the VST3 folders on your computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3  
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
